The primary goal of lighting design in art galleries is to highlight the artworks without compromising visual perception or altering the spatial composition. The lighting required in such exhibition spaces demands a technical and precise approach that maintains aesthetic neutrality. In this regard, Lluria’s linear lighting systems meet these requirements, offering solutions that seamlessly integrate into various exhibition configurations.

Limitless adaptability

For galleries with high ceilings, Lluria offers suspended lighting systems with nearly invisible steel cables. The ST15 profile, with a power output of up to 35 W/m, delivers global, diffuse and uniform lighting. Its 150-degree beam angle is perfect for achieving even coverage in large spaces. With a diameter of just 24 mm, the ST9 profile is ideal for smaller spaces without sacrificing lighting efficiency. Additionally, both profiles allow for recessed, rotating or wall-mounted installations, providing flexibility according to the project’s needs.

Pathways and halls

The orientation and safety of a gallery’s pathways are essential considerations. The ST69 and ST54 profiles, available in three finishes, enable the creation of indirect lighting that enhances the perception of the environment without distracting from the artworks. This lighting approach facilitates smooth navigation through different rooms, guiding visitors’ attention toward the displayed pieces.

Lighting for display cases and showcases

Lighting design becomes more challenging in confined spaces such as cubicles, display cases or showcases. For these situations, Lluria offers the MINI LED strip, specifically designed for small environments where precision is crucial. This solution is available in three power levels: 4.8 W/m, 9.6 W/m and 14.4 W/m, with colour temperatures ranging from 2300 K to 4000 K. At only 4 mm wide, this high-colour-rendering LED strip provides compact and discreet integration into the installation.

Directed and glare-free light

For direct lighting of artworks, Lluria offers the CASTOR wall lamp, available in lengths from 300 mm to 1200 mm. Its 75-degree beam angle ensures precise control of light distribution, minimising glare and providing accurate lighting on the surface of the paintings. The system’s optimised thermal management allows for efficient heat dissipation, extending the luminaire’s lifespan and ensuring consistent long-term performance.
