The moment we decide to refurbish our home, we are presented with the opportunity to reflect on our way of living. It is an occasion that allows us to reformulate the type of atmosphere we want to achieve to give a new meaning to the word home. This is precisely what interior designer Víctor Felices from FIS Interiorismo did through a fantastic complete renovation in the municipality of Rubí, Barcelona. The designer introduced the concept of spatial amplitude and continuity hand in hand with the Viva Llum lighting design, combining natural light and artificial lighting.

The pleasant atmosphere created here was possible thanks to the Lluria lighting systems, in which the lines of warm lighting wind their way through the corridors of the house. The recognisable geometric shapes are in line with a projected space that uses 3000 K colour temperatures and powers that do not go over 14.4 W/m. Specifically, we opted for high-quality MOON CRI> 80 LED strips, which offer excellent luminous performance as well as an 8-year guarantee.

One of the challenges of the project was to achieve a correct architectural and lighting design on the large rectangular volume that dominates the house. Far from trying to disguise its presence, this volume stands out and works like a large architectural box that levitates or floats in space. This unique effect lightens its weight and rotundity, thanks to the integration of LED STAR 66 profiles specifically designed to be embedded in laminated plaster surfaces.

In addition to amplifying the scale of the existing space, the indirect lighting of the house bathes the vertical surfaces, creating an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. On the other hand, the light continuity is also transferred to the bathroom area, where a subtle line of light runs through the floor in parallel with the porcelain stoneware finish to provide a refined and elegant look. An innovative solution made possible by Lluria’s ST66 anodised aluminium profiles.
