At Casa Bellsolà, lighting design is the guiding thread that brings meaning and personality to its architecture. To achieve this, studio ADR Projects chose Lluria’s linear systems to enhance the project’s material and spatial qualities. Through predominantly indirect and concealed lighting, light weaves a narrative composition filled with warmth.
Structuring the space
In this open-plan design, where walls disappear to amplify the sense of space, light acts as an invisible element that both separates and connects different areas. Thanks to Lluria’s linear systems, the various zones are clearly defined while maintaining a continuous visual flow. Ambient lighting accompanies us through the home’s nocturnal journey, giving each space its own identity.
Floating staircase
The wooden staircase linking the two levels of the home is one of Casa Bellsolà’s stand-out features. With indirect lighting and concealed lighting behind the stringer, its design appears to float in the air, defying gravity and adding a sense of lightness. The light gently washes over the surfaces of the grand stone wall, creating contrasts and adding depth. Additionally, the linear lighting provides just the right level of visibility to ensure safety along the way.
Luminous narrative
Lluria’s linear lighting harmoniously integrates with built-in furniture, reinforcing the minimalist language of the architecture while highlighting its neutral shapes and finishes. Concealed within the lower plinth, the light accentuates the geometric lines of each element individually. This approach enhances the home’s aesthetic coherence, transforming the furniture into an integral part of the architectural design.
Visual comfort
In the bathroom, the lighting achieves the perfect balance between functionality and visual comfort. Under the sink, indirect lighting provides the necessary illuminance across the horizontal plane. Above the mirror, Lluria’s continuous profile system with an opal diffuser emits a soft, even light, ideal for personal care tasks. This seamless, diffused lighting eliminates any discomfort or glare.
