Shelf lighting using linear systems
Shelf lighting using linear systems

Nowadays linear lighting offers a wide range of possibilities for design and personalisation. So much so that excellent levels of spatial illumination can be achieved by exclusively using concealed or semi-concealed systems on shelves and/or in niches. In this article we explore all the possibilities and technical aspects involved in achieving the perfect integrated linear lighting.

Diffused and ambient light

Diffused light is evenly distributed and filtered in the space in question. With this type of lighting, no hard shadows are projected onto objects, highlighting their true shape and finish. The use of diffused light transforms an area into a more welcoming place, amplifies our perception of space and makes it easier to locate the items on display.

Ease of installation

It’s extremely easy to install linear systems thanks to the different types of Lluria profiles. The models ST50ST51ST52, ST60 and the mini version ST59 are just a few examples of the wide range available to achieve invisible, elegant lighting. Using these profiles also prolongs the life of the LED strip as they effectively dissipate the heat emitted through the aluminium material.

Visual comfort

In addition to optimising and enhancing the visibility of objects, we can also increase people’s visual comfort. This is because the direction of the light flow never coincides with the observer’s line of sight. Similarly, the use of suitable diffusers and lenses with opal materials or darkened finishes completely eliminates the possibility of visual fatigue.

Exclusive designs

The right choice of LED strip allows us to fully customise any setting, either by using different colour temperatures or by choosing one or more chromatic nuances. Examples of this are the ANSER COB LED strips in three colour temperatures and the MOON RGBW LED strips, offering infinite chromatic possibilities for the bespoke design of all types of settings.
