A hotel’s reception and welcome area is the first space guests see when they arrive to enjoy a nice getaway with all the comforts. Recreating a welcoming and pleasant environment requires a detailed light study that goes beyond purely functional considerations. Read on to find out our suggestions for providing the best lighting in a hotel check-in area.
Environmental warmth
Using colour temperatures between 2700k and 3000K is essential to achieving a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Then, to delineate the room’s boundaries, you can add ambient lighting hidden in upper pits using MOON or BASIC IP20 LED strips on an ST3 surface profile. You can also accentuate the reception desk with linear lighting using the MO9,6 LED strips, for indirect lighting, or ANSER built into the ST51 profile.
Decorative and functional
In addition to ambient lighting to distinguish the environment, it’s important to design functional lighting that makes it possible to check-in guests clearly. For this, we recommend using luminaires with pure and elegant lines suspended on the desk. Atria, Draco, Ara or Electra are just some of the many options we offer at Lluria. If none of these alternatives fit the dimensions of your design, don’t worry, our technical team can produce the luminaire you need.
Disruptive lighting
As with other sectors that provide services to the public, hotels must take special care of the image, idea or concept they transmit. To do this, disruptive lighting that breaks moulds and stands out above the rest can generate expectations and a successful surprise effect. Highlighting the hotel logo, using corporate colours or creating complex shapes is tremendously easy with SNAKE, ELARA, CRONO or HALLEY RGB LED strips.
Spatial dynamism
At Lluria, we think that it’s a good idea to add dynamic elements in reception and waiting spaces to promote a continuous influx of guests. In these cases, reproducing moving scenes on digital LED strips is undoubtedly the best option. With our controllers, you can emit light sequences to suit your corporate identity, or programme and adapt your designs and ideas for any occasion, time of year or special event.
